Anson Hu Yan Bin (胡彥斌), who was born in Beijing but now hails from Shanghai, is Mainland China's pop and R&B prince. A talented young singer/songwriter, he has three albums to date, and also has written several theme songs to television series, one of which titled Hong Yan, for the Chinese series Jing Ke Chuan Qi, eventually catapulted him to fame. He's also well known for the song "Waiting for you", the theme of the Taiwan series "Love Contract". Anson has a smooth, high, almost fluting voice, and is easily recognizable. He has written songs for other singers, and sometimes does the backup vocals for the songs he writes. On March 21, 2006 he released his third album, Music Code. He's released two albums before this one, the first in 2004 (Music混合體) and the second in 2005 (超時空愛情).
