Anna Dragstra, aka DJ Anoesjka, first discovered house & techno music in the late nineties as she was regularly going to diverse clubs in Amsterdam. Her broad taste in electronic dance music is nowadays also reflected in her choice of records and mixing style. She first started mixing in 2000 and soon she found herself playing at small parties. Her official debut took place in 2002 at Reactor (the Powerzone). After this, she was regularly invited by Dutch techno organisations such as Strictly Techno (Waterfront), Exposure of Sound (Nighttown) and Technasion (Arena), sharing the stage with local heroes such as Invite and Bas M., to name just a few. She didn’t remain unnoticed abroad either. In 2003 she was invited by Belgian techno organisation Kozzmozz (Vooruit, BE) after winning their dj contest. She had convinced the jury with a 3 decks industrial techno set, which according to one of the jury members was “not like anything they’d ever heard before”. Her international debut was a great succes and Kozzmozz invited her again a few months later to play at the “best off edition” at their new years’ celebration in 2004. Since then, she has played for major clubs and festivals all over Europe and in Asia, such as Dance Valley (Spaarnwoude, NL), Gasten Zonder Grenzen (Amsterdam, NL), Soulrock (Amsterdam, NL), Piekup (Amsterdam, NL), The Venue (Edinburgh) and Astra/Culture Club (Bangkok, TH).
