Annie Hardy was born on June 5th 1981, and made up one half of the 'post-grunge' group Giant Drag, as songwriter, lead vocalist and guitarist. Micah Calabrese, who was the bands drummer and synth-player from 2003-2006, announced he had left Giant Drag on December 5th 2006, and it was revealed that Giant Drag had split, and Annie Hardy would pursue a solo career under the name Giant Drag. There are no rumours of any new members to the band, although Hardy has hinted at the possibility, stating on her MySpace 'whoever else feels like doing it' (joining the band). Her latest GiantDrag.com entry predicts that her new band will include 'at least one person more than two persons'. Hardy is already well underway with her second coming LP, and has written many songs, which she described as 'sad songs'. New material from Annie Hardy is expected later in 2007.
