Anneleen Lenaerts

Anneleen Lenaerts (born April 26, 1987 in Peer, Flanders, Belgium) is a Belgian harpist . She has been principal harpist with the Vienna Philharmonic since 2010. Vita/Life Anneleen Lenaerts received her first harp lessons from Lieve Robbroeckx. She completed her master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Jana Bouskova in 2008 with summa cum laude . At the École Normale de Musique de Paris , she completed a course de perfectionnement with Isabelle Perrin . In addition to the harp, she also studied harmony, counterpoint and fugue in Brussels. As a soloist she has appeared with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra , the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg , the Collegium Musicum Basel , the Brussels Philharmonic and the Orchester national de Belgique. Since December 2010 she has been principal harpist of the Vienna Philharmonic , succeeding Xavier de Maistre. Anneleen Lenaerts is one of the leading soloists of her instrument. As a soloist Anneleen has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of Bavarian Radio, the Mozarteum Orchestra, Bruckner Orchestra Linz, the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra, the Polish National Radio Orchestra, the Brussels Philharmonic, and the National Orchestra of Belgium amongst others
