Walsh was raised in Worchester, Massachusetts where a large Brazilian population dwelled, and as a child her vivid imagination was initially captured by songs ranging from Broadway productions like The Sound Of Music to the distinctive jazz-pop stylings of Brazil '66. She studied music extensively, eventually earning a Master’s degree after moving West. She has continued her musical journey studying percussion and Portuguese, and enlisted the aid of some of Los Angeles' finest jazz musicians for her latest outing "Pretty World", including Oscar Castro-Neves, Brian Bromberg, Tiki Pasillas, Tom Zink, and Rogerio Jardim. Her latest release "Pretty World" includes new arrangements of songs by Sergio Mendes, Jobim, Cole Porter, and Seawind as well as original lyrics written to the music of Pat Metheney (So May It Secretly Begin), Don Grolnick (Pools), and Keith Jarrett (My Song).
