Anne E. DeChant, four time winner of Cleveland's Best Singer Songwriter by both the Cleveland Free Times and Scene Magazines, has finished recording her latest CD, "Girls and Airplanes. The CD is produced by Andy Ackland (Dishwalla, Eagles, The Darkness, Tom Petty, Jason Mraz, Joss Stone)and is slated for a 2007 release. In 2005 Anne was invited to be a showcase performer on Olivia Cruise Lines Eastern Carribean Cruise along with Melissa Etheridge and a host of other performers. Her song Second Class Citizen and Second Class Citizen T-shirts were highlighted in the August 16th, 2006 issue of The Advocate. Anne continues to be one of Ohio's standout performers delivering brilliant performances from her long list of poignant and catchy songs. Anne's format stretches from solo/acoustic, to an acoustic trio to full band performances. Each one is a unique experience offering her audience and venues a performance tailor made. A must see performer! An alum of regional stars Odd Girl Out, DeChant graduated to critical and commercial success with her first three solo recordings: Effort of the Spin (1996), Something of the Soul (2000), and her live CD, An Evening with Anne E. DeChant (2001). She is a storyteller, creating characters as diverse as the landscapes in which she paints them. Anne released "Pop The Star" in May of 2004.
