Two men walk together down a wooded path towards a river carrying heavy bags. Contained in these bags are the hardbacks that are the key to a future of education. Many people go through life with a desire for accomplishment and one can choose many directions to lead them to such accomplishment. These two men—Filip Sundberg and Jonas Bergsten—chose the path we find them on today. In a matter of minutes the contents of their bags are up in flames. Burning their textbooks became a ceremonial ritual. This path has led them to a different style of education and a different type of degree. Anna Leong became their university degree and newborn baby. Anna Leong originates from the Vasterbotten region of Northern Sweden. Each member comes from the outskirts of Umea, the largest city in the North of Sweden. During the Fall of 2003 Anna Leong became a four-member band—adding Erik Hornsten and Gustav Hillbom to the line-up. The group then did their first gig in Robertsfors, a small community north of Umea. Anna Leong recorded three tracks in the Second Home studio in Umea during the Spring of 2004. Magnus Oberg (Chalksounds) received a copy of the tracks and releases Anna Leongs first 7"-single Fever in March of 2005. Consistent positive reviews were received from the press. A small tour of Scandinavia followed the release including a show at Debaser (Stockholm, Sweden). Fever received airplay from Swedish radio stations including P3 Svea and P3 Lab.
