Anna Altman is Lucia Arias and Christian Billard, founding members of the noise / rock band, Turnip King. Anna Altman is an American alternative-rock band from New York. Anna Altman's first album, "Freightliner", was recorded on a second-hand reel to reel tape machine and the recording process was loosely based around the "All Wave" technique. A tape warp becomes increasingly more audible as the songs play to the end of the album due to the condition of the tape machine it was recorded on. "Freightliner" was mixed and engineered in the summer of 2016 by Christian Billard and Rafi Carleton of the New York band, Dog Underfoot, in their respective homes in Port Washington, NY. Freightliner's release is currently set for March 2017 through an Exploding in Sound tape subscription.
