Animo was a pop punk band from Denver, Colorado formed in 2001 that disbanded in February 2009. They used to be called DORK. Former members, Schuyler Ankele, Brian Johannsen, and Jimmy Blair have started a new rock band called Heart & Soul Radio. Here's Some Things They've Done: Played over 500 shows all over North America, including the entire Vans Warped Tour in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. Had songs appear on MTV, FUSETV, and the movie American Pie Presents: Band Camp. In January 2007 they had a drumhead put in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame as part of the Vans Warped Tour display. They are also featured in the video that accompanies the display. In December 2006 our song "Songwriting for Dummies" was selected as the winner by a panelist of listeners and radio station employees as the number 1 song out of 40 local bands. Named Best Punk Rock Band by the Westword newspaper in 2003, and 2006. They have also been featured in the paper several times.
