Andrew Backhouse is a field recordist and electronic musician from the UK. He works across experimental music, ambient sound and dub. He records dub as Guerrilla Dub System and drone and noise as Forward! For Noise. His recordings blend outdoor sounds with synthesisers and studio production. Birdsong, environmental textures and found sounds sit alongside slow drones, tape loops and shifting rhythms. Each project takes a different approach, but mood, texture and a sense of place run through all of them.
