An Island in the Moon (1990) is a perfectly conceived ambient project from Italian composers Pier Luigi Andreoni and Silvio Linardi. They only released one album on the notorious Auf Dem Nil Records. The duo stick to a disciplined and simple palette using only two synthesizers, a Yamaha DX7 and CX5, as well as a Roland S50 sampler. They are joined by fellow electronic journeyman Riccardo Sinigaglia who contributes piano and Akai S900 samples on 2 tracks.
