Artist
Andrea Baroni (Italy, 1978) is a songwriter and a multimedia artist. He lives in Italy, where he works and creates music in his own studio, called Cyberleaf. His music seems difficult to catalog: it ranges from electronic and rock progressive, orchestral textures, intimate piano songs or experimental passages. But in the end the aim is always the one of telling a story, to awake emotions and let the listener bethink. His musical career started around the 90s, as the keyboard player of some local bands. In 1997 he entered the metal band Icycore, with which he released three albums (one with the german label LMP), and played in many gigs. He released four solo albums and worked on the soundtracks for many multimedia projects and videos (including some important advertising campaigns). His love for the musicals, and theatre in general, made him to collaborate also in the staging of some shows, including the Rocky Horror Show. Other projects include remixes of some old Commodore 64 videogames music. His latest album, Traces of Humanity (alternative rock/electronic), has been released at the end of 2008 in all the major online stores. It tells the story of the last days of mankind, a journey across the wasteland in the search of the last traces of humanity. http://www.andrea.baroni.name/ User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
