André Vida is a Berlin-based Hungarian-American saxophonist, composer and lyricist. He has developed a series of philosophical approaches to improvisation using restrictive outfits, animated graphics-based score installations and self-made instruments. His solo saxophone pieces are the culmination of this focused improvisational thought, combining body, instrument and voice. André Vida is co-founder of the NYC collective Creative Trans-Informational Alliance and has performed widely as a soloist and has collaborated with a diverse group of artists including Anthony Braxton, Kevin Blechdom, Tim Exile, Yona Friedman, Jean-Baptiste Decavele, Jamie Lidell, Oni Ayhun,...
