Andina is a rock band from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Their musical influences are diverse, ranging from the old British underground rock scene to the recent american post-rock phenomenom, presenting songs in Portuguese and subtle references to Brazilian music. In 2008, Andina released their second album, "Escadanova", featuring production by Ray-Z (musician and producer) and the record label Alvo Discos stamp. The release received strongly positive acclaim from both critics and audience, being featured on articles from local expertise magazines and regular newspapers.
