Anatole (real name Jonathan Baker) is a multi-instrumentalist who makes primarily electronic music that includes large orchestral influence. He attended the Sydney Conservatorium and trained as a trumpet player. His rich orchestral compositions are the central element to his recordings but are present in his live show through string sections and guest instrumentalists. He has released two EPs, Westbrook and Surrounds, the latter through Sydney record label TEEF Recordings, and he is currently working on his debut LP due towards the end of 2017. Surrounds was recorded between his own bedroom and Gotye's Melbourne studio and was mixed and mastered by Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Oscar Key Sung, Hiatus Kaiyote), In 2015 he performed alongside artists such as Majical Cloudz, Vallis Alps, Japanese Wallpaper, a three week headline residency at Sydney’s prestigious Museum Of Contemporary Art and set at Sydney’s Outside In festival. http://anatolemusic.com/ User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
