Music producer, multi-voiced singer, sound engineer, sound healer, voice over talent, bells and whistles wig,, performing artist, puppeteer, dancer and fun time maker... Anahata Sound creates soundscapes of heartfelt eclectica. Drawing from influences as diverse as electro-pop, gypsy, avant-garde, electro-acoustic, bosa nova, jazz, hip-hop, lo-fi, a’capella, pop, opera, classical and experimental, thus creating her own genre-less sound. Anahata uses an organic approach to producing electronic music, by making her beats and compostion using samples with field recordings she has gathered from around the world. In addition to anahata sounds solo project she is also a member of The Funginears, HOT PINK PURPLE and has mixed FOH sound for countless top notch touring acts including her longest stint with the Yard Dogs Road Show and has extensive experience in live, theater and studio sound since the age of 15. She has been the established front of house sound engineer for The Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival for the last seven years, mixing artists such as Jeff Hamilton, Benny Green, Grammy award winners Roy Hargrove and John Clayton, and Christian McBride. Her formal schooling includes a B.A. with honors in Sound Engineering from the Art Institute of Seattle in Sound Engineering and Music Production with additional studies in jazz theory and history, music theory, theater and environmental studies.
