Dan played drums and put a hole in Todd’s carpet. Todd and Dan spend their whole days doing stuff that really doesn’t matter much to anyone. Dan sells toys. Todd peddles college sweat pants. It would be nice if everything about the music they made had something important to say. It would be nice if it could help people. But, that’s not really up to Todd and Dan. So, Good Lord, you can have all of the songs… please do something with them that matters, Sir. “I have never had a better friend in my life,” says Todd Larson. In his eyes, Daniel Chancellor was the perfect person for the job as drummer, rounding out the electronica duo known as An Epic, No Less. The two, armed with a 1970′s keyboard, a drum kit and their computers, are fulfilling the realization of a project that God spoke to Todd Larson as he labored in an orphans’ hostel in Uganda several years ago. Inspired by electronica bands like Paper Route and Postal Service, An Epic, No Less have created worship songs with pop sensibilities that are positively reeking of heavy rhythmic electronica. “We want to create genuine worship music; that’s all,” says Todd. “We simply want to sing, pray and encourage people. And it would be our honor, if by some way, God can use An Epic, No Less
