AmyJo Doh & The Spangles were formed in 2016 right after The Ezra Beats, Amy’s first music venture, went into hibernation mode. Inhabiting the beautiful, sometimes grubby streets of Madrid, the new band quickly become a force to be reckoned within the underground scene. Led by the charismatic and dynamic AmyJo Doherty, Peter Doherty’s older sister, they released their debut album 'Calle De The Spangles' in 2018 and have since carved out a unique space for themselves with their eclectic sound and captivating stage presence. Drawing inspiration from punk icons such as The Clash, Patti Smith, and Blondie, as well as modern rock influences like Amyl and the Sniffers, AmyJo Doh & The Spangles create music that is an exciting blend of punk, rock, and indie, well-infused with Amy’s distinctive voice and powerful lyrics. Their songs are both nostalgic and refreshingly contemporary, and resonate deeply with diverse audiences, who love their infectious melodies and spunky energy.
