Among Relatives is a Copenhagen based indie rock band currently consisting of: Jimmy Andersen (lead vox, guitar and piano), Anders Haaning (drums, percussion, vox), Josefine Dalsgaard (violin, percussion, vox) and Lars Pilgaard (guitar, vox). Among Relatives was formed near the end of 2007 in Copenhagen by Jimmy Andersen, Anders Haaning, Josefine Dalsgaard, Christian Sekjær (bass, piano, vox) and Frederik Elsner (guitar, vox) Being influenced and combining the psychedelic days of The Beatles and Pink Floyd with modern rock bands such as The National and Midlake - Among Relatives has created their own sound. And with driving and sweating live show, they have, even though they are a young band, made themselves a big name on the Danish upcoming Indie Rock scene. In January 2009, Among Relatives recorded their debut album at Silence Studios in the north of Sweden. They released the album This Room in january 2010. Towards the end of 2010, the band also went through a change in the line-up as both Christian and Frederik parted ways with the band and Lars Pilgaard joined.
