Amidst the Grave's Demons is a metalcore band from Ohio, formed in the mid-2000s by guitarist/producer Johnny Franck, vocalist/guitarist Jarrod Alonge and lead screamer Shia LaBeouf. Little is known about them until the release of their single "I'm So Scene" in 2013. The band's line-up at the time was Jarrod on guitar and clean vocals, Sky Sevart on unclean vocals, Blake Feagans on drums, clean vocals and backing screams and Benjamin Fleet on synth and loops. The single was actually a rerecorded version of a song released by Jarrod, Blake and Benjamin under the name "Ukulele and the Sock Monkeys". Following the success of the song, the band started touring with other "scene" bands such as Sunrise Skater Kids and Chewed Up. They also released their famous 10-hour breakdown, "Eternity (Literally)", in early 2014. A few months after, ATGD announced that they'd be releasing five new songs on a split CD featuring Jarrod's other bands. The CD was released in 2015, and the songs featured Jarrod performing the instrumentals and a new member, Mike Martenson (also lead singer in Boys of Fall), doing the vocals. Former member Johnny Franck produced the songs and provided guest clean vocals on one of them, "I'm So Scene 2.0". After the release of the CD, the band recruited new members : rhythm guitarist Cody Bailey, lead guitarist Hunter Patterson, bassist Shane Joyner and drummer Zach Cenate.
