坂口有望 Ami Sakaguchi is a Japanese singer-songwriter born February 20, 2001, in Osaka, Japan. Beginning her musical journey in middle school, she picked up the guitar at age 13 and started composing original songs by age 14. She released her first independent single, "Ohanashi / Maru" (おはなし/地球-まる), in September 2016, before achieving major label success. Sakaguchi made her major debut on July 26, 2017, with the single "Joshi". Her music is characterized by intimate guitar-driven arrangements paired with thoughtful, emotionally nuanced lyrics. Throughout her career, she has primarily performed as a singer-songwriter with acoustic guitar, though she has also experimented with band arrangements. Her breakthrough in anime music came with "Central," the ending theme for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (2020), a track she wrote after being inspired by the Naruto series through her older brother's enthusiasm. This was followed by "URL" (2023), which became the ending theme for Horimiya: The Missing Pieces, showcasing her ability to craft emotionally resonant tracks for visual media. Both songs have received significant recognition, reaching multiple streaming platforms.
