Amede is the voice, The Soundsmith is the producer, together we are a one man internal duo known as Amede & The Soundsmith. They just want to make good music, whether it's short raw beats, vocal based, down-tempo-hip hop-electro-glitch-trippy-soul or whatever it sounds like to you, to us this is Cinematic Soul made for you to feel and fuse with. Amede & The Soundsmith at 19, are still young and progressing artists from the East London, working alongside the next generation of UK artists such as T-funk who has worked with MOBO award winner, Jahaziel, Azekel, Shanaz Dorsett who has been blessed London’s Jazz Café with her gentle voice and Nadine Caeser who has once shared a stage with Keisha White as her backing vocalist after winning the well established “219 Variety Show”. All of whom met at Michelle Escoffery’s Roundhouse Voices vocal ensemble which they were all part of for a good year. The likes of Eric Lau and Tony Nwachukwu are some of the few that have throwing a few pointers in Amede & The Soundsmith’s direction over the past year. Predominantly a 'soul' singer, being exposed to the synths of Colonge, beats from Detroit and the crates of Camden, they have also become ultimate beat junkies/addicts/fiends etc. In 2007 Amede & The Soundsmith released their first ep, DEMOnstrating The Sound smith on iTunes.
