Amatuer Theory hails from Lancaster, Pennsylvania- a music brewing city. A place known for its bands and venues. Metal has become prominent there, almost monotonous. Great success has been seen with the inner lying bands, but creativity can be found deeper then what lies on the surface: Amateur Theory is Kyle Wilson (Lead Guitar), David Salada (Ryhthm Guitar, Vocals), Jonny Pinto (Bass, Vocals), Alex Marschka (Drums), and Mike Hubley (Vocals). For the past six months Amateur Theory has exercised writing solid, original, creative, and extensive material. Not solely based on one influence - but on a collection of every single members influences and personal experience. It may be hard to put a genre with the music. Some may hear metal, jazz, indie, experimental, hardcore, or even grindcore. But the origin of their music can be cited anywhere from The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Between The Buried And Me, Dream Theater, And Explosions In The Sky - But it doesnt stop there. They embrace their roots with bands and artists like The Beatles, Jonny Cash, Mineral, Sunny Day Real Estate, Engine Down, Page 99, and Ampere.
