Amadeus Chamber Orchestra was founded by Mrs. Agnieszka Duczmal in 1968. They have performed frequently in Poland and abroad. The climax of those events was the Silver Medal of the Herbert von Karajan Foundation won at the Meeting of Young Orchestras in West Berlin in 1976. The Orchestra, employed by the Polish Radio and Television since 1977 has been giving many concerts in more than twenty Europen countries as well as in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brasil, Kuwait, Taiwan, playing often with famous soloist (Maurice Andre, Gary Karr, Henryk Szeryng, Malcolm Messiter, Steven Isserlis, Jeremy Menuhin, Kevin Kenner, Martha Argerich, Alexandre Rabinovitch, Grigorij Sokolov, Michala Petri, Aage Haugland, Guy Touvron).
