In addition to his remarkable history as a guitarist, singer, songwriter and pioneer blues artist in Bahia, celebrated throughout Brazil, Álvaro also had a strong performance as a music producer, cultural producer and broadcaster, having founded the Wednesday Blues project (first blues project performed in a theater in Brazil, between 1999 and 2003) and presented the program Educadora Blues (Educadora FM) for almost 15 uninterrupted years, a record length of permanence on the air, for a radio program dedicated to blues, in Brazil.
