1) Alpenglow formed from the ashes of Bok, in London, UK in 2003. They recorded an e.p. called Indian Country before going their separate ways in 2006. Alpenglow: Jason Hall (bass), Andrew Holdsworth (keys), Richard Young (drums), and Matthew James Crutchlow (guitar, voice) 2) Alpenglow began in a small Vermont town when founding members Peter Coccoma, Graeme Daubert and Elori Kramer shared songs in an old stone mill. Over the next two years, after adding the rhythm section of Colin Weeks and Kenneth Weeks Root, Alpenglow transformed original songs rooted in the folk tradition into a collection of finely crafted arrangements that are sprawling, moody, and wholly their own. Their music has been described as "swooning, harmony-laden stuff…laced with arcing fiddle, shimmering keys and healthy doses of ringing guitar punch." Recorded in the hollows of a hilltop chapel, their forthcoming album offers a refuge from the modern world. Their songs send listeners home to sleep soundly, knowing that somewhere, a resounding calm lies over the countryside.
