Alona Tal is a young actress perhaps best known for her roles as Meg Manning on Veronica Mars and Jo on Supernatural. Tal regularly pops up in guest spots on shows like CSI, Cold Case, Ghost Whisperer, and The Cleaner. She has taken on a few film roles. She is also a talented singer. Raised in Israel, she picked up English from television at an early age, and once she had served the requisite two years in the Israeli army, she began taking on acting roles. One of these, a sitcom called Ha-Pijamot about a struggling band, let Alona show off her voice and eventually gave her the opportunity to record with Israeli rapper Subliminal. After making her mark in Israel, Alona moved to New York, where she met Wyclef Jean and recorded a song with him. Jean referred to himself as her mentor. Tal has since pursued acting primarily.
