Almas Mortas is a band from Bahia formed in mid-October 2001. They aim to revive the sound of the late 70s and early 80s (gothic and post-punk). Their lyrics deals with the feelings that reflect the darker aspects of the human soul, such as pain, anxiety, loneliness and pessimism about life They are influenced by Joy Division, Nick Cave, The Cure, Modus Operandi, She Wants Revenge, Finis Africae, Bauhaus, The Cult, Cabine C, Jardim do Silêncio...
