Texas psychedelic project All in the Golden Afternoon has been stretching the boundaries of drone pop for over half a decade. Rachel Staggs brings her experience with Experimental Aircraft, Eau Claire, and Monster Movie to establish layers of melodic noise and heartfelt purrs while Carlos Jackson creates a backwards dimension of translucent auditory upheaval. The duo fuse these individual visions to construct their signature hallucinatory sound. The couple has toured Europe and shared the stage in the U.S. with Spectrum, Beach House, Animal Collective, and Ulrich Schnauss. Festival appearances include SXSW, Festival SOY (France), and Austin Psych Fest. Mind Expansion released their debut and a self-released LP is available this spring. They have also been featured on Rocket Girl Records (UK) 3…2…1… A Rocket Girl Compilation alongside A Place to Bury Strangers, Television Personalities, and Serena Maneesh, as well as  Dead Bees'  (FR) Compilation #9 with Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spindrift, and the Lovetones.
