All These Kings came together in May 2006 when Aaron Marks (vocals) joined his high school friend Brad Teitelbaum (guitar) in Boston where Brad was attending Berklee College of Music. Aaron and Brad sought out other talented musicians at Berklee, and Marie Kim (keyboards/vocals), Chris Bookhout (bass) and Dan Barnett (drums) rounded out the lineup in March 2007. The band began writing new material and performing heavily throughout Boston, with several additional shows in the NYC area. Over the summer of 2007 they wrote the majority of the tracks for their self titled release (July 2008), and toured throughout the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast. Aaron describes their sound as "an emotional rollercoaster with heartfelt lyrics pushed forward by an eclectic mix of intense rock and beautiful melodies.β Based out of Boston, their sound is influenced by many of the rock bands from the U.K. like Radiohead and Snow Patrol. It is alternative rock with meaningful lyrics. All These Kings is one of the most sought-after bands from Boston, and reviews of their shows have been positive.
