Alison Ranger formed in August, 1999 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Despite claiming West Chester as a home town, Alison Ranger's members lived in such disparate states as Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. For the next five years, after many shows, two tours, some line-up switches, and a few collections of recorded material, the band broke up in August, 2004. In May, 2008, four of the original members got back together to write new material. People: Nick D. - drums; occasional voice Sandro B. - bass; voice Brian W. - synthesizer; voice Aaron K. - synthesizer Jason B., now in Brass - guitar; voice Alex V., now in Caestles - guitar; voice Biography: Brian and Nick, seniors at Salesianum School in Wilmington, Delaware, were introduced to Sandro through a mutual friend in August, 1999. After two practices in Sandro's basement, Jason Bucci, a friend at West Chester University, was asked to play guitar in the band. Sandro suggested the name "The Allison Ranger" as a reference to "Allison's Rangers," which was a group of adventurers only alluded to in an obscure science fiction novel. After dropping an "l" from "Allison," the band picked the name because it deliberately lacked symbolic meaning. The band's first show occurred at the Wild Child Cafe in Wilmington, Delaware on April 28, 2000. Jason left the band in October, 2002.
