After four studio releases, a string of top ten radio singles, and a seven-year run with the Dove Award winning Christian music group ZOEgirl, Alisa Childers is finding her own voice. "For years I have had a dream to share the songs I've written in a more intimate and personal setting," said Childers, "It has become clear to me that the time has come for me to set out on my own, and share what's in my heart and head." With musical influences such as Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Steve Taylor, Kate Bush, U2, and Sheila Walsh, it's no wonder that she desires a deeper connection with her audience. "As a little girl, my dad would play all kinds of records for me. From the Beach Boys to the Beatles, from Paul Simon to Tina Turner, he wanted me to know what was going on, and where it all started." As a member of ZOEgirl, Alisa was able to carve a comfortable niche for herself as a respected songwriter. Penning hits like "I Believe", a joyful, uplifting track that soon became the group's anthem, "Unchangeable", and the powerful "Scream" which climbed its way up the charts in 2005, Alisa has proven her career is just beginning. "I feel like I am in the middle of a creative renaissance right now. The floodgates are open, and I have so much to pour out," says Childers. Alisa's intensely personal and honest style of songwriting is the driving force behind her solo music. Coupled with infectious melodies and her vocal adaptability, each song cuts to the heart and sticks in your head. Alisa
