Álvaro Galán, better known by his stage name Algal or Algal the Bard, is a Spanish Multi-Instrumentalist, best known for his music in the Bardcore style, and in fact his version of "Toxicity" by System Of A Down is one of the earliest examples of a modern song being covered in a neo-medieval style, likely years before the term "Bardcore" was first used in reference to music. In addition to a number of Bardcore covers, including some collaborations with vocalist Hildegard von Blingin', he has created a number of original compositions, most notably his album "Itinerant".
