Alexey Gordiyenko (Odessa, Ukraine) is one of those post-Soviet new-wave techno musicians who's work was highly appreciated in Europe. Alexey started his first experiments in electronic music beeing a teenager. At the age of 15 he tries himself in composing tracks in break beat, drum'n'bass, old school electro, techno styles. Coming a long way improving his skills he starts Djing in 2006. That year he also starts a techno-project "Odessa Soundfreaks" alongside with his techno-mate Andrey Smoroda (aka DJ Ray Spirit). Together they create plenty of high-quality tracks, mixing up styles of Tribal-, Detroit- and Electro- Techno, labour for the individual sound. "Odessa Soundfreaks" was the very first ukrainian techno project released at wold's well known labels (Yin Yang, Adult, TechHead, *Cutz, Sub Cult). His tracks and remixes as long as from Odessa Soundfreaks and Codename Guard (his electro-techno moniker) are played by world's biggest DJ's such as Carl Cox, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Dave Calrke, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Aaron Liberator, Alex Calver aka Calvertron, Pedro Delgardo, Axel Karakasis, Spiros Kaloumenos, Wehbba, Dylan Drazen, Josh Love etc. 2008 sees Alexey starting a new techno-label "Toyfriend Music" and the release of his first solo-album called "12" on russian major-label "Radio Record".
