In 2003, to the being received in the White House for the president of the United States, George W. Bush, Alexandre Pires click for photos with the powerful politician, for which he played guitar and sang Girl of Ipanema in Portuguese and English. The historical meeting with Bush confirmed the meteoric world-wide success made by this brazilian from Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, that had launched its first record in 1993, only ten years ago. Been born in 8 of January of 1976, in a family of extreme musical, Alexandre Pires gave his first steps in the musical career in 1989, when it decided to establish the group of samba So Pra Contrariar with friends of Uberlândia and some familiar ones, like his brother Fernando Pires, who would come to occupy the rank of drummer of the group (and later of vocal, when the brother left in solo career). The international success relieved Alexander Pires writings with foreign ídols as Gloria Estefan and Rod Stewart.
