Artist
Alexandre Belliard is a singer/songwriter from the Canadian province of Quebec. Over the past decade, his songs have gradually taken shape through performances in bars and small venues, telling the upsets, worries or hurts his daily life. Unable to secure a contract with a record label, Belliard founded his own label, Les Disques Gavroche, and bgan work with his ban on a debut album, Trap con. In search of a producer for what would be his first album, Alexander first met Hugo Perreault. Perrault owned a studio in the town of St. Sauveur, and set up a meeting with Belliard to listen to his material to "give it a try, and see if the magic is there." The two got along famously, and based on that first meeting, they recorded what would become the title song from the album "Trap con" and agreed to work together on the entire album. Seeing the project take shape, Hugo contacted his former manager from the band Okoumé, Jean-Jacques Dugas. After listening to Belliard's demos, they decided to see him live at P'tit Bar. The chemistry ws still there, and with some hard work and the strong team of Belliard's relatives, Perreault as producer,and Dugas as manager, the debut album became a reality. Dugas began looking for a promotion company and, suprisingly, Musicor -- Quebec's largest media company -- offers to promote the album.
