Artist
Alex Woods is an experimental rock artist from Sammamish, Washington. He was a member of the band Moxie (Sammamish) until it split up in 2007. He has since started a solo career and his debut album "A Long Flight Across the Sea" was released in 2007. He produced an EP titled "Late at Night" before leaving on a mission for the LDS church in 2008. In his own words: "My first recollection of music was at age 2 when I watched Fantasia with my Grandma & Grandpa. During the Sorceror's Apprentice I would stand on the bed and pretend I was conducting the orchestra. At age 5 I was watching the Eagles reunion tour on video and got to attend that concert with my parents in 1994. We wore out the videotape. I Started Piano at 6 years of age with instruction from my Aunt Shelly. From age 9-15 I had instruction from time to time, but mostly worked at the piano on my own daily. It was my passion. At 15 I joined the High School jazz band and gained an intense appreciation for a whole new genre."
