Born in Angers March 26th 1975 Alex Tassel lives in Brittany until 1994 Pianist, he turns to jazz and trumpet at 18 in contact with his cousin Eric Le Lann, French star of jazz trumpet 1994, living in Rouen. At the Conservatory, he obtains with honnor his diploma of chamber music and assembles his first groups with good players & jazz friends 1996 & 97, settles in Paris and co-melts the collective of the Nuits Blanches at the Petit Opportun First rounds and concerts with his quintet (Olivier Temime, Baptiste Trotignon) 1998, Alex releases "49 minutes d’arrêt", selected by Jazz Magazine like one of the best cds of 1998 1999 : on tour with just everybody, plays in many festivals, and finally records his second opus as a leader: "Booker live in Marciac" and plays (a whole set but for about 52 legendary seconds...) with Ray Charles Band, again at Jazz in Marciac 2000: on tour with Dj Cam. Sets up a new goup with Guillaume Naturel (Franck Avitabile, Gildas Scouarnec, André Ceccarelli), the Paris Jazz Quintet. Records on label TCB (The Montreux Jazz Label). Tours France, Africa, Turkey, Denmark with many groups, which is so far his marque de fabrique 2001 & 02 : turns on to record with Dj Cam Group , Laurent de Wilde Electronic Sextet, Paris Jazz Quintet, Alexandre Tassel Group (with Pierrick Pedron), Stéphane Huchard Quintet, Olivier Temime Quintet, Sylvain Marc Group, Lombards All Star..
