Alex Ookpik (aka Alex Olsen) is a producer, singer and composer/songwriter from Montréal. She is the former lead-singer, synth player and co-founder the Montreal post-rock band Marlowe, sharing the stage with: Tindersticks, Snowpony (ex-My Bloody Valentine & Stereolab), April March, The Dears, Stars, Feist, Broken Social Scene, The Besnard Lakes, The High Dials, and The Organ. She writes avant-pop music, bridging the worlds of pop and experimental music. She also writes electroacoustic music and now and then music for theatre and film.
