Starting production in 2005, music by Alex Hudish and Around Midnight is usually filed under the genres of Chillout, Lounge, Nu-Jazz, Ambient, New Age, World, Downtempo, Electronic or Lo-fi. But despite this wide range of styles and sub-genres, it can be simply described as music with atmospheric, melodic, at times cinematic flow. It takes you for a trip without words... music to let you fall in love over and over again... wake up on the right side of the bed... smile for no reason... just because we can. Featured on numerous Various Artists compilations: 5 years of music production and more than 20 releases later, the projects received positive critical acclaim online, on chilloutscene, rotated on countless podcasts, cloudcasts and radio stations worldwide, and sold worldwide on Various Artists compilations both in stores and in digital format on Beatport, Amazon and iTunes. "I draw inspiration from minimalism, nature, simple things and from intelligent electronic music. Our generation is so fast-paced, inter-connected and multi-tasking, that we all sometimes need to simply sit back and let go. that's where my music comes in. A great part of my life has been dedicated to describing different themes in sound and music. I've focused on electronic chillout music after falling in love with the enchanting grooves of Air, Sigur Ros and Mum, Royksopp and The Knife, Zero 7 and many others.
