Alex Carlin is an American rock musician most well known for his Guinness World Record, playing the “Longest Solo Concert” – 32 hours of rock songs. He was an original member of The Rubinoos, the Berkeley, California based pop group that had several top 40 hits in the late 1970s. He was also a main member of the band Psycotic Pineapple, which is considered an influential “1977 punk” band. He co-wrote the song “Little Demon”, which was performed in the 1984 Tom Hanks movie “Bachelor Party”. His band “Alien Beachhead” toured extensively in the Soviet Union in 1990. In the mid-90s Alex was the guitar player in Cranford Nix's band. "He moved to Europe in 2000, and for 10 years he was playing more than 100 concerts every year, appearing in most of the European countries. Band members included legendary fusion drummer Atma Anur, drummer Peter Ffrench and bassist J.R. Clegg. The Scorpions' bassist Pawel Maciwoda performed on his recording of "No Sleep, Only Rock and Roll" Since 2012 he has been based in Russia, forming ALEX CARLIN BAND with a Belarussian drummer Denis Matuizo, and a Russian bass player Andrey Samoylov, whose brother Peter Samoylov is the bass player of the seminal Russian band “Alisa”. ALEX CARLIN BAND now tours in all the regions in Russia, plus Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. He performs his own compositions, such as "No Sleep, Only Rock and Roll" and "Kac Piekielny", and also plays and interprets classic rock songs of the bands like: The Sonics, Roky Eric
