Alessia D'Andrea is an Italian pop artist. Alessia D’Andrea’s professional career takes off when, in 1996, at only 15, she reaches the final phase of the “Castrocaro Song Festival”. In 1997 she is the winner of the “Mia Martini” Awards. In 1998, during the “Sanremo Festival” she sings at the “PalaOmnitel” and during the same year, she is the special guest at the “Mia Martini” Awards. In 2000 her CD single “Alessia D’Andrea” is released (Renilin Music Label). In 2001 she is one of the “San Marino Festival” finalists, in the Republic of San Marino. In June 2001 she is the winner of the “Premio Recanati” XII edition, an important music award for Italian songwriters. Some months later she participates in one of the most popular Italian TV talk shows on RAIUNO “Sottovoce”. In 2002 she records 2 CD singles “Respiri” and “Segnali D’Amore”. In 2004 she is the special guest in the Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) show together with the Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma, in Rome. The same year, the 17th of September, she records “Locomotive Breath” by Jethro Tull, during which Ian Anderson himself plays the flute. In 2005 she is one of the 6 finalists at the “Cornetto Free Music Festival” (Naples). In May 2005 she signs a contract with the DIY record company (with the pseudonym of Andrea) and records the single “Time To Pray”, released throughout the world in countries such as the UK, Romania, Australia, Spain, South Africa, Canada, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, Mexico, Singapore, Ru
