Aldo Monges was an Argentinian singer-songwriter born on January 17th 1942 in the province of Cordoba, releasing folk records through the 1970s into the 1980s and seeing major international success including a handful of awards. At the age of 7 he began playing the guitar, and at 12 he had begun writing his own songs. He moved to Buenos Aires as a young man, and attempted to make a living as a singer-songwriter, before making connections in the music scene and getting the chance to begin recording full records. On July 19th 2025 Aldo passed away in Buenos Aires at the age of 83 after a prolonged battle with illness. He was often know as El Trovador Romantico ("The Romantic Troubadour").
