Al Paton is a musician based in Cape Town, South Africa. He grew up in the deserts of Namibia, and went to High School in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. From a young age he played music on an old family piano, and eventually began to play the guitar. Throughout high school, college and his twenties, he played in a variety of different bands and wrote his own songs. He has been awarded with a number of regional and even international music awards. Al Paton owns a small recording studio in Cape Town where he records local musicians and is currently working on his first full length solo album. His songs and story type lyrics are inspired by Africa, but his Anglo Saxon heritage comes through clearly in the style of rock.
