Akira Wada (born 1956) is a Japanese composer and guitarist. He formed the jazz-fusion band Prism (プリスム) in 1975, who released their first album in 1977 and continue to release albums. Wada began releasing solo albums in 1980, and has worked with artists such as Yukihiro Takahashi (高橋幸宏), Naoya Matsuoka (松岡直也), Toshiyuki Honda (本多俊之), Maki Asakawa (浅川マキ), Jun Fukamachi (深町純), Yousui Inoue (井上陽水, Chisato Moritaka (森高千里), Tetsuo Sakurai (櫻井哲夫) and Akira Jimbo (神保彰).
