Akira Complex was a drum'n'bass and neurofunk producer from the United States. They were a mainstay of the Japanese EDM scene and had made waves across Asia and the USA. Akira Complex was signed to S2TB Recording, where they had contributed as a remixer to kors k's albums and would later release two albums of their own. They had collaborated with a number of other artists as well, including Hommarju, Camellia, lapix, and several others. Establishing themself in the world of rhythm games with releases on all of KONAMI's active rhythm game franchises (Dance Dance Revolution, beatmania IIDX, Sound Voltex, Dance Rush Stardom, Jubeat, Gitadora, Pop'n Music, Nostalgia) as well as working with media companies the likes of TRIGGER Inc and Red Bull Media House, they've shown they are a forced to be reckoned with internationally. Shredding stages with twisted basslines, acid synths and high energy riffs, Akira Complex's chaotic sound will make you dance and has a 99.9% chance of setting your brain on fire. On June 26th, 2023, it was announced by Attack The Music on Twitter, the record label of Akira Complex, that Akira Complex had passed away.
