As a Japanese sound director and designer in Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd., Akihiro Honda (本田晃弘) started making music for video games. He is best known for his orchestral theme songs in the Metal Gear Solid series. Honda composed the original soundtrack for "Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops" in 2006, along with an additional arrangement track used as the game's main theme, "Calling To The Night". He also helped compose the music for "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker", composing the main themes "Heavens Divide" and "Koi no Yokushiryoku (Love Deterrence)" along with the orchestral theme. Honda composed the main themes for 2016's "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain", "Sins of the Father" and "Quiet's Theme", with composer Ludvig Forssell providing the lyrics.
