“Patience is a virtue, it might hurt you in the flesh, but it will nourish your spirit and then you’ll flourish, fresh.” Those were the first words that Ajax Starglider ever spoke on an album. The year was 1995, and the album was LPG’s debut classic The Earthworm (Brainstorm). “Deafening Silence” was the first of many memorable Tunnel Rat posse cuts that Ajax would put his stamp on, and this one would prove to be prophetic. In the early 90’s Marc Broome started a group with his brother Jason. After a couple of local shows, DJ Trey-Qel and a talented emcee by the name of Sojourn were put in the mix, and the group came to be known as Future Shock. Future Shock soon joined forces with Raphi, Zane, Peace 586, and LPG to form the Tunnel Rats. The crew completely redefined “Spiritual Rap” with its innovative and influential styles. Ajax produced and performed on such groundbreaking albums as: Illumination by SFC, Experience by Tunnel Rats, The Risen Son by Peace 586, and of course Future Shock’s acclaimed debut Remember The Future. After touring the country in support of those early Tunnel Rat projects, Ajax took some time to go to school and become a certified Recording Engineer. Starglider logged some serious hours in the studio and emerged with his first solo record Audio Odyssey. He also organized, recorded, mixed, designed, and promoted the Unified Revolution compilation which included early recordings from members of LA Symphony, Deepspace 5, and Scribbling Idiots. In 1999
