Aim for the Elbow is a groove rock band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The band was originally comprised of high school classmates Dan Dahl (drums), Jacob Muchin (bass), and Steve White (guitar) in the winter of 2008. White loved noise bands from the 1990's while Dahl and Muchin listened to more metal than anything else. The trio found they could play rock'n'roll and blues together better than anything else, so they began to focus on playing groove rock. AftE decided to find a vocalist in April, 2009, and they enlisted the help of Dan Turpin, another friend from high school. Later that month, Jacob's brother Jona joined the band on guitar, bringing a much funkier sound to the group. The band now plays funky groove rock as a five piece.
