Artist
Jorge Aguilar, or simply Aguilar, is a venezuelan singer, bass, keyboard and guitar player who, after being the lead member of jazz rock band Esperanto in the early 80s, launched a solo career in 1982 with his solo debut in English, "Aguilar", with a Spanish version of that release following in 1983. Songs like "No Nena" and "Soy Para Ti" became venezuelan radio classics and the album was certified Gold. Aguilar released his sophomore album in 1985, "Siempre Juntos", with "Quiero Ser", "Esto Es Amor" and the title track joining his string of hits. "Calor" was released in 1987, with "Guitarra Cantora" and "Piensa En Mi" being promoted as radio singles. "Pedazos De Vida" was released in 1990 and remains his last album to date. Aguilar is currently touring Venezuela with fellow venezuelan singers Melissa and Sergio Perez for a series of concerts.
